While at OAR PLEASE help us by following a few simple rules:

1. Please do not cut down any trees. You are welcome to gather dead wood from the ground, bring your own firewood or purchase some from the Outpost.

2. Quiet time hours are Midnight till 7 a.m.

3. Please remember to put ALL trash in appropriate receptacles.

4. Please stay within OAR’s boundaries. The surrounding woods are privately owned.

What to bring if staying at OAR:

(Each bunkhouse contains full size refrigerator, sink, counter top space and microwave, along with an outside charcoal grill and fire pit.)

  • Water container
  • Garbage bags (extra for wet clothes)
  • Towels
  • Toiletries
  • Firewood/Matches
  • Sleeping bags/pillows
  • Hot plate/camp stove
  • Bug Spray

What to wear whitewater rafting:

  • T-Shirt
  • Shorts or Swim Trunks
  • Ladies--Wear Bathing Suit under Shorts and T-Shirt
  • River Shoes- (like Tevas, Chacos or Alps) or Old Sneakers
  • In warm weather cotton is your friend.... it helps keep you cool!
  • Avoid denim – it gets stiff and heavy when wet.

> Wear - Cool weather 

  • Synthetic Top/Bottom (Wool, Fleece, Polypropylene)
  • Wool or Acrylic Sweater
  • Wool Socks
  • River Shoes, Sneakers, or Wetsuit Booties
  • Try to avoid cotton. Once it gets wet, it stays wet and cold.
  • OAR has spray jackets and pants to wear on cool days. (No Extra Charge!)
  • Wetsuits can be rented for an additional $4 per person.
